Brand Usage Guidelines
Permission to use for Pledge 1% Companies
Any company that has taken the pledge and joined the Pledge 1% movement is permitted and encouraged to use the Pledge 1% logo on its website, digital content, and product packaging to indicate that it is a Pledge 1% company and committed to corporate impact.
The Pledge 1% logo or other Pledge 1% brand assets may not be used in any other way or for any other purpose without explicit written permission from Pledge 1%. To request permission to use the Pledge 1% logo or other brand asset, send an email to info@pledge1percent.org with a description of intended usage and accompanying copy. For visual assets, you will be asked to submit a draft of how the asset will be incorporated.

Brand usage rules and restrictions
With express permission from Pledge 1%, you may use our brand assets within the approved scope in accordance to the following rules outlining allowed and prohibited usage. Pledge 1% may require you to stop using our brand assets if we believe that your use falls outside these rules or the scope of any permission we give you.
If you already have a written agreement with Pledge 1% that includes the use of our brand assets, you do not need to submit a request for the rights you already have under that agreement.
In reference to Pledge 1%
With express permission from Pledge 1%, you may use the Pledge 1% logo and other brand assets solely in reference to Pledge 1% in an approved and relevant context.
Example of allowable use: Placing the Pledge 1% logo on your website “About Us” page that talks about your commitment to corporate impact and your pledge.
Example of allowable use: Placing the Pledge 1% logo and a headshot on a web page or program at a conference where a Pledge 1% staff member is speaking.
Example of prohibited use: Placing the Pledge 1% logo on a website of a company that has not taken the pledge.
No modification.
Pledge 1% brand assets must be used as provided by Pledge 1% with no modifications. Do not remove, distort, or alter any element of the brand assets or change any colors.
Example of prohibited use: Creating and using a version of the Pledge 1% logo in red or any color other than black or white.
No confusing source or implied endorsement.
Do not use Pledge 1% logo brand assets in a manner that implies that Pledge 1% is the source of your products or service or overstates your relationship with Pledge 1%. Do not link the Pledge 1% logo to any site outside of the Pledge 1% domain.
Example of prohibited use: Placing the Pledge 1% logo next to your program name.
Example of prohibited use: Naming your event “Pledge 1% Impact Summit.”
No objectionable or unlawful use.
Do not display Pledge 1% brand assets in a manner that is misleading, unfair, defamatory, infringing, libelous, disparaging, obscene, or otherwise objectionable to Pledge 1%.
Do not display Pledge 1% brand assets on any website, printed material, product, or other form of content that contains, displays, or promotes pornography or similar adult content, gambling, the sale of tobacco, alcohol, or firearms. Do not display Pledge 1% brand assets on websites or materials whose content violates the law.
No merchandise/manufactured goods.
While you may use the Pledge 1% logo on your product packaging, do not display Pledge 1% brand assets on physical or commercial goods without express permission from Pledge 1% to do so, even if they are not for sale.
Example of allowable use: Printing the Pledge 1% logo on a t-shirt tag in addition to your own logo.
Example of prohibited use: Printing t-shirts with the Pledge 1% logo.
