Dotsquares Ltd.
We are service based company and we come to know about Pledge1% from Salesforce Service.
https://www.forcesquares.com/
Forcesquares always initiated steps to make an ideal world. Our community is the utmost priority and its improvement starts from within. Well, Pledge 1% is not just an oath for making a better world but an emotion for us. Every single member of our team is doing their best and supporting the community through distinct means. Forcesquares have taken a pledge to change the world & put things into action.
But do you know what exactly the Pledge 1% is? Well, it is just a way to give back to the community. The philanthropy model by Salesforce works for the betterment of society and makes everyone grow. The Forcesquares was started to deliver the future-proof solution & work alongside a great world. Let’s catch up with everything that we have done till now.
Hunger is no longer a problem
The journey of betterment starts with the eradication of hunger. Forcesquares have understand the seriousness behind hunger, and poverty and want to do something new and different from others. By considering this fact, the company have started a “Happy Fridge”. Everyone can want to eat something can take food from it. This social cause is performed by every employee of the company.
Control carbon emissions through any means
Carbon emissions become a serious and major problem for the entire world. Our pledge to change the world defines some great actions that signify our efforts to make a better world. We have organised a mass plantation every year intending to make our environment clean and green. Also, we are moving to use more renewable energy to control pollution due to heavy-weight machines.
Hygiene works as a core vital
Forcesquares have taken an oath to modify the world with amazing things. So, our team has gathered and cleaned the nearest parks & bring hygiene to its peak. This activity has defined our strength and power as a team with a dedication towards a great world.
Volunteer Time Off for Employees
Forcesquares think about the change & the change starts from within. Hence, we provide volunteer time off to employees so that they can actively participate in social activities. We provide paid time to employees & team members have never let us down.

UPEO
We are a Salesforce implementation Partner in Belgium.
https://www.upeoconsulting.com
UPEO was created only a year ago, but we pledged 1% of our time from the start.
We knew the concept, working in the Salesforce ecosystem for many years, but the company we worked for didn’t translate their pledge to the floor, so we never got to participate. That’s why it was important to do things right.
We are 10 people, so we immediately “translated” the theoretical 1% of our time and donated that to YouthStart, a Belgian non profit who helps young people kick-start their professional life. With no 1% time left, but lots of ambition, we gave another 5% of my personal time as a founder, to found a Salesforce training program together with an association called Girleek. This program is a 14-week training for unemployed women to become Salesforce Certified Admins. The first 18 graduates will certify next month, in December
We are very proud to be able to give back to our ecosystem. It also teaches us loads, and the connections we make, the friendships along the way, make it even more worthwhile!

Balance is a consulting company that implements Business Transformation Processes through the adoption of Digital Technologies.
Balance between Trees and Bees
What a year into nature for Balance!
We ended 2021 by creating our own forest with Treedom by donating 300 trees in 4 different countries for restoring and protecting forests and re-greening the Earth.
Unfortunately the climate change crisis is the number one issue that humanity is facing today and Balance is on the mission to create a more sustainable future by planting trees which can help fight climate change and regenerate the ecosystem. Restoring, conserving, and growing trees is a movement that every company and every person can be part of.
Our great partner Treedom is the first platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow the story of the project online. Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, more than 3.000.000 trees have been planted in Africa, South America and Italy. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities.
In fact we have our trees photographed, geolocated and have their own online page where you can follow the story of the project of which it is a part. You can find us in Colombia, Tanzania, Nepal and Kenya.
If you are curious about discovering our forest you can find pictures and videos here.
All our employees, clients and partners are part of this great initiative being the owner of each tree in our forest. They can access their personal information and be updated by the local farmers on their own tree! For example I am the owner of a magnific Coffee tree planted in Nepal.

But trees were not enough for us, so we also decided to be part of another fantastic project.
With this mantra in our mind “Be the solution to help protect bees in crisis”, as Balance, we decided to be a part of the 3Bee family and joined forces with them to protect biodiversity.
Protecting bees is more than allowing insects to buzz and pollinate, it’s about protecting the integrity and sustainability of our agricultural systems because bees are part of the biodiversity on which we all depend for our survival.
That’s why we are once again on a mission to regenerate the ecosystem for a more sustainable future.
With 3Bee, we are growing our own hive family with 300.000 bees, and with their unique and innovative technologies as well as their responsible beekeeping practices, we are hoping to protect pollinators and biodiversity through several parameters.

C9 together with Speechless Reconciliation: making dreams of orphans come true!
What happened during 10 days of August 2022 when 35 youngsters (between 16-21 years) from homes for children without proper parental care from six different countries – Lithuania, Kosovo, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia – came to the Czech Republic as part of our program Speechless Reconciliation? A powerful and unforgettable week that will be remembered by many for a long time. Using a wide mix of non-formal education methods, experiential learning, discussion, and creative workshops we helped the youngsters to create an action plan for their future, identify their skills and talents.
Watch the official video of the 2nd developmental camp made by one of the participants, Aleksander Vuckovski.
C9 is passionate about supporting good causes and giving back. Speechless Reconciliation is one of the projects we like to prioritize as part of volunteering. Meanwhile we are one of the main sponsors of this wonderful journey, and are so happy to be able to contribute through the Pledge 1% program. Hope for better life! Hope for better future! Hope for better community!

Fordable
We are a Finance Broking company matching our clients with lenders who enable them to secure finance to achieve a $6m retirement plan through property investing.
Supporting the UN SDG’s with a 1% Pledge of the revenue received from home loan settlements towards Ocean Conservation
Our Founder and Managing Director Stephen Ford has a clear purpose to support People & Planet.
Due to his long history and connection to the water, Stephen is extremely passionate about Ocean Conservation. He wants to ensure we leave our planet in a state where future generations will be able to enjoy all of its beauty.
Through Fordable, we have the wonderful opportunity to support clients to put a roof over their heads, and with that, we also want to support the health of our ocean for all the beautiful animals whose home it is, as the ocean plays such a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our planet.
Fordable has made a commitment to Pledge 1% of the revenue received from home loan settlements towards two charities who are doing the job that we cannot. Those charities are:

Great Barrier Reef Legacy – A not-for-profit social enterprise created to address the urgent need to secure the long-term survival of the Great Barrier Reef and coral reefs world-wide.

Sea Shephard – An international, non-profit marine conservation organization that campaigns to defend, conserve and protect the world’s ocean.
This is the essence of our Values, to support others on their journey, which also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – Goal 14 of protecting life below water:
- 14.2 – By 2020, sustainably manage and protect marine and coastal ecosystems to avoid significant adverse impacts, including by strengthening their resilience, and take action for their restoration in order to achieve healthy and productive oceans
- 14.4 – By 2020, effectively regulate harvesting and end overfishing, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and destructive fishing practices and implement science-based management plans, in order to restore fish stocks in the shortest time feasible, at least to levels that can produce maximum sustainable yield as determined by their biological characteristics
If you love and care about the ocean as much as we do, we would love to connect and support you, while also supporting the people who are doing good for our ocean and planet.

Atlassian
In Atlassian’s early days, founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar built giving back into the business with the creation of the Atlassian Foundation. We’re passionate about the power education and business have to transform the world. The company contributes 1% of its equity, profit, employee time and products to the Atlassian Foundation to tackle disadvantage on a global scale and in our own backyards.
At Atlassian, we’re passionate about the power education and business have to transform the world. The company contributes 1% of its equity, profit, employee time and products to the Atlassian Foundation to tackle disadvantage on a global scale and in our own backyards.
Atlassians love the Atlassian Foundation. It’s an important part of why many join the company. One of Atlassian’s core values is ‘Be the Change You Seek’ – the Foundation, and the opportunities it provides, are a great way for employees to live this value.
All Atlassian employees get 5 days of paid leave to volunteer and have up to USD$1,000 in donations matched every financial year. In the 2022 financial year, Atlassian employees volunteered more than 45,600 hours. Included in this time was the delivery of 130 skilled volunteering projects, such as: using AI to detect frog species; a website refresh for a fashion label that employs refugee women; and a Jira Service Management project to manage seabins that collect rubbish from our oceans.
This photo is of a group of Atlassians mentoring students in East Gippsland, a region in Australia that has experienced significant trauma following bushfires, flooding and Covid-19. They participated in a design thinking workshop with the children to help them develop projects to address challenges in their communities. We’re proud of our team for all they were able to offer, and grateful for the experiences they received in return.

Charter Hall
With over 30 years in business, we’re one of Australia’s leading fully integrated property investment and funds management companies. We use our expertise to access, deploy, manage and invest equity across our core sectors – Office, Industrial & Logistics, Retail and Social Infrastructure.
https://www.charterhall.com.au/
In FY22, Charter Hall partnered with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (HHTS), a mental health and wellbeing organisation that operates specifically in the road transport, warehousing and logistics industries. Those working in these industries face unique challenges such as tight deadlines, long hours, shift work and isolation. In a recent report released by SuperFriend, it was revealed that 44.8 percent of workers experience a mental health condition,
with 38.2 percent of those workers saying that their workplace caused the condition or made it worse.
A recent study from Monash University also revelated that 48 percent of truck drivers have had a mental health condition in the past 12 months. It’s important in these circumstances to be able to check on people’s well-being and to be able to speak openly with fellow workers to help ensure that they feel connected and supported.
As an extension of this partnership, Charter Hall embraced a collaboration between HHTS and R U OK?, participating in the inaugural R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Day of Action. The day created conversations and partnerships to ensure our own tenant customers feel supported at work.
Through this initiative we hosted morning teas and lunches across the country for 27 of our Industrial & Logistics tenant customers. The aim of these events was for workers to take time out and start conversations with each other.
Charter Hall’s community partner, Kick Start, provided the catering for these events. By engaging Kick Start, we supported their traineeship program, which provides young people with valuable qualifications and employment.
“Charter Hall’s support has been invaluable, providing us with the means to expand our program and help even more young people gain meaningful employment and their Certificate III in Hospitality,” explains Kick Start General Manager Paul Borghetti. “These young people are now empowered, with the qualifications, practical skills and support to join the workforce. Since partnering with Charter Hall, 22 young people have graduated with another 10 trainees currently being supported by the program. We are also operating four onsite cafes at Charter Hall assets.”
This was a unique opportunity for Charter Hall to partner with three community organisations to support our tenant customers and local communities.

Their #1 tip or advice for companies?
Speak about it often to help raise awareness
Maven Mule
Zagreb, Croatia
Number of employees: #14
Maven Mule is a Salesforce ISV and Consultancy partner with 10+ years of expertise on the market. They have committed to pledging their profit, product, and time towards helping the community.

When the world is as unstable as it is, humanity helps us stand on our feet. We can’t solve all the world’s problems, but we can always influence the community around us, and that’s what we choose at Maven Mule.
Last year we started our Pledge 1% journey and we have been feeling empowered since then. All the profit, time, and product donations we make are related to matters close to our hearts because we believe that’s how true change starts.
We have sent money to the UNICEF Milky Way fundraising event and Children’s home Laduč to help children with special needs because some of us are parents ourselves and we know how precious and fragile a child’s life can be. Needless to say, children are our future, but we can help build it here and now.
We have supported government budget and non-profit organizations helping the families whose homes have been destroyed by the earthquake in Croatia because it could have been our home too.
We are also sponsoring a football league at one of Zagreb’s colleges because we just love football and we can’t do anything about it Speaking of which, a football fans association NGO Naš Hajduk, regularly receives our services with a big discount and gets our product, Maven Documents, free of charge.
Generally, we provide discounts to NGOs for all the products we have, because good intentions have to be rewarded.
Apart from profit donations, we love giving back to the Salesforce community with what we are doing best – building great products that help people be productive at whatever they are doing. Thus, we created a free set of tools for all the Salesforce Trailblazers out there – Maven Tools. More than 3000 daily active users boost their productivity with a help of it and we can’t be more proud.
We also make sure our expertise is not solely invested in products and services we offer but gets transferred to further generations (because remember, children are our future). Every year we mentor students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb to help them professionally develop, most of them end up being our employees by the time they finish their studies.
Here is a word from our CEO, Dragan Vujnović:
“We are excited to hold a Pledge 1% badge as a multiple pledger, as we’re dedicated to giving away our time, our product, and our profits. By sharing this badge, we’re further spreading the idea of giving back as well as aligning Maven Mule with Pledge 1% values of making the world a better place.”
We hope to inspire other small companies to start locally since the impact we can build for our community is limitless – it just takes one step at a time.
Their #1 tip or advice for companies?
Just take one step at a time and start local. Help does not necessarily need to be “big” or “global”, some help is better than no help at all.
